As the saying goes, practice does make perfect! Our wedding reception venues on the Mornington Peninsula allow rehearsals for a maximum of an hour duration. This does need to be pre-booked with your wedding coordinator and is subject to availability.

Our wedding venues on the Mornington Peninsula hold a lot of history, with the first license for the build being granted in 1875. This is why it’s on The Victorian HeritageRegister, which is a list of about 2,400 places and objects that are significant to the history and development of Victoria.

Your special day needs to be a reflection of both you and your partner - and this is no different when it comes to styling.

No one knows you better than yourselves. Our wedding venues on the Mornington Peninsula will provide the high-quality essentials (tables, chairs, cutlery etc.), however individual styling elements will need to be organised by the booking party. We do have a list of preferred suppliers that will help bring your wedding day vision to life.

Because our wedding venues are at the end of the Peninsula, it can be tricky to organise a taxi or uber last minute on a busy weekend night. We suggest booking these in advance to avoid disappointment.

To take some pressure off you on your special day, our Mornington Peninsula wedding venues do provide a complimentary microphone and lectern. We can also organise to have a projector and screen if needed. For more complex audio-visual requirements, we can connect you with an Audio Visual company that will be able to assist you further.

We’re proud to offer the best wedding venues for stunning photos. You’re welcome to take pictures around the venue after your ceremony. However, as you are in one of the most stunning regions in Victoria, we have both the Sorrento back and front beaches which you could explore for your wedding photos, as well as the SSCBC pier.

You can have many different experiences for you and your guests, pre and post-wedding, without having to leave The Continental.

There are multiple dining spaces and bars as well as our late-night speakeasy cocktail bar, Barlow.

We also have Aurora Spa & Bathhouse that can be booked for a restorative and relaxing wellness experience, and world-class accommodation with InterContinental Sorrento Mornington Peninsula.

Yes! Here at The Continental Sorrento, we have a range of spaces for both ceremonies and reception, so guests can relax and enjoy the celebration without having to leave the venue.

We would suggest locking in your venue between 18 and 12 months before the wedding day, so that the planning journey is seamless and as stress-free as possible.

We understand that sometimes that is not possible, so if you have a short lead time, we will always do our best to accommodate.

We want all guests attending our wedding venues on the Mornington Peninsula to feel welcome - and children are no exception to this.

We cater for children at the cost of $35pp which includes a main meal with a side of fries and unlimited soft drinks or juice. For teenagers, we usually provide a full adult menu at an altered cost.

Pets are allowed on your special day on the events level only - Pets, unfortunately, cannot be in any of our public spaces during your wedding, but they’re welcome to join in the day at your wedding ceremonies and stay for some pictures.

We have three different wedding venues in Mornington, right here on the Peninsula. These spaces can accommodate Sorrento weddings of all different sizes, from 20 up to 200 people. Get in touch with our events team to discuss the best space for your guest list.

There’s nothing better than kicking off your dancing shoes at the end of the night. So thankfully, your guests won’t need to walk far to do this! We have 108 hotel rooms in total on the premises at InterContinental Sorrento Mornington Peninsula for you and your guests to stay in.
