In 1875, the performer, politician and entrepreneur realised his vision to bring a taste of Europe to Sorrento, making the seaside town a popular holiday resort. Over a century later, Coppin’s dream has been brought to life again, with the reimagined Continental.

The actors famously portrayed the stage character Billy Barlow and performed his popular folk-songs to much acclaim. This daring persona is a source of inspiration for our speakeasy bar and live entertainment venue Barlow.
